I Think You Know

Dear Chris,

 I was going to tell you today just how much happiness our life together has brought me, but I think you know.  

Our 12 years together and 9 years of marriage have brought countless joys.  But there are two that really stand out.

I was going to tell you how much I love being a mom to our two amazing kids, but I think you know.  

There isn't a week that goes by where I'm not documenting the stories of their rambunctiousness, so that we can hold on tightly to these perfect memories.

I was going to tell you how you're such a good dad, but I think you know.  

Both of your kids are calling your name as soon as you get home, and coming running (or crawling) often before you're even through the door.  You are the apple of our eyes, all of us.

I was going to tell you how glad I am that you are supportive of my wants and desires, but I think you know.  

Staying home with the babes makes me so happy.  And photography has turned out to be so much more rewarding than I had originally anticipated, and I really love it.  

I was going to tell you thanks for buying me this beautiful house, but I think you know.

I have loved turning this house into a home with you, and raising these babies into little people.  I'll cherish the memories that we've had playing in the water outside, swinging the babies on the tree swing, you and Jayce chasing each other through the house with one game or another, and then fixing cookies and settling into the couch to watch Wipeout.

I was going to tell you thank you for the adventure that our life together has been, but I think you know.

We have more adventures ahead of us, and I'm more than willing to take them on so long as you are by my side.
